Training Continued... All meter reading training exercises are completed using the Meter Coach System. This is a unique system with three components: 1) a metercan that houses a meter with precision motors and associated electronics; 2) a handheld data entry device’ 3) a unique software package. The interactive software and the associated devices simulate the actual field reading experience. The software program randomly displays meter positions, and the trainee enters his readings into the unit, and the software determines the accuracy and speed of the readings. |
The system assists in teaching the basic operation of a meter, practice reading sessions with immediate feedback given to the trainee, testing for skills, handheld device practice, documentation and reporting of individual and group performance, and maintaining performance levels of experienced meter readers. |
